The Process

  • If you are interested in adopting one of our puppies please first fill out the puppy application. We want to place our pups in the right homes and we ask several questions to make sure our puppies are a fit for each family.

  • Once we have determined together that I am the right breeder for you and you are the right family for one of our puppies, it will be time for a deposit. When a deposit is placed, you will be reserving a male or female spot on a specific litter. This puts you on a list for a litter and picks are done in order of deposit. If deposit is made prior to 28 days gestation we will contact you at that time with the ultrasound results.

  • When the pups are born, we contact each family and tell them the great news! We post weekly updates of the litter with pictures and videos on our news blog to keep you in the loop.

  • When the puppies are 8 weeks old, you visit for the big day…to take home your new baby! Together we interact with the puppies and make the right choice for your family and the puppy. We do temperament testing on our pups and watch them closely with their mother and littermates. This allows us a window into their personality so we can help you choose the right puppy for your specific family needs.  At this time we answer your questions about training, food, shots, etc. The puppy will have been fully examined by our vet, had his first puppy shot, and given a Certified Health Certificate from our vet stating he is in excellent health and ready for his new family. You will have a personal appointment time to go over feeding schedule, crate training, transition, vet schedule and any other subjects that arise. You will be given a folder with AKC limited registration papers (still AKC registered, just no breeding or conformation classes) baby blanket from litter, Life’s Abundance food for 2 weeks, feeding and care instructions, a contract and guarantee, Health Certificate, copies of parent’s pedigrees, copies of parent’s health clearances and training materials.

  •  Last but not least in the process, I am always available to my extended Golden family for any questions or concerns along the way to help with the puppy raising journey continuing into adulthood.
